Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from StarPhoneParts.com. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.

  1. Product Quality

All goods supplied by StarPhoneParts.com are sourced from official suppliers and are covered by the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
All parts (such as LCD screens) go through rigorous testing by the manufacturer before being packed.

  1. Inspection on Delivery

You must inspect goods on delivery or collection.
 If you identify damages, shortages, or missing security stamps/stickers/marks (e.g. “MO”, “SMO”, “JMO”, “QMO”), you must notify us in writing within 2 days of delivery.
 Goods may only be returned if we are satisfied they are defective and, if required, after inspection.

Failure to notify us within 2 days means:

  • We accept no liability for damages or shortages.
  • You may not return goods once they have been used or installed.
  1. Pre-Test Requirement (Soft Fit)

All LCDs and electronic parts must be soft-fitted and tested before permanent installation.
 Manufacturing faults will only appear at the pre-test stage. If no fault is found during pre-testing, later failures are the result of installation or misuse and are not covered.

How to Perform a Soft Fit:

  1. Prepare the Device: Power off completely and disconnect the battery if possible.
  2. Connect the LCD: Attach flex connectors gently, without glue or adhesive.
  3. Power On & Test: Check brightness, colours, touch, dead pixels, and flickering.
  4. Confirm: If working, proceed to permanent installation. If faulty, do not install and contact us.
  5. Hard Fit: Only apply adhesive after a successful pre-test.

Once permanently fitted, the part is your responsibility.

  1. Installation Responsibility

We are not liable for issues caused during installation, including:

  • Using unsuitable glues/adhesives
  • Excessive heat, pressure, or bending of frames
  • Poor cleaning of the old adhesive
  • Misaligned connectors or stretched FPC cables
  • Shorts caused by batteries or glue seepage

Professional tools and adhesives must always be used.

  1. Warranty Terms

LCDs and other parts carry a 30-day warranty (from delivery date) against manufacturer defects only.

Warranty is void if:

  • The part has been fitted without pre-testing
  • The part shows signs of use, damage, or tampering
  • The issue arises from customer misuse, drops, liquid damage, or poor fitment

Accidental & installation damage is not covered (e.g. cracked screens, purple dots, screen bleed, ink spots, moisture, etc).

  1. Returns Policy

Returns are accepted only if goods are unused, in original packaging, and reported within the required timeframes.
 Goods remain your responsibility until they reach our warehouse. Please package securely.

Refunds:

  • For “not needed” or “wrong part ordered” items, only the product cost will be refunded (shipping excluded).
  • For faulty or incorrectly supplied items by us, both item cost and return shipping will be refunded after the returned parts are received and accepted according to the above terms.
  • Refunds are refused if goods are deemed tampered with, damaged, or not in resalable condition, including writing on packaging.

Processing time for returns may take up to 5 working days after inspection.

  1. Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales

All sales from StarPhoneParts.com are considered B2B transactions.
 You are not covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
 Your warranty with your customer is your own responsibility and does not involve StarPhoneParts.com.

  1. Final Notes

A genuine Samsung LCD or other branded part will not fail on its own under normal use.
 Failures weeks or months after installation are almost always caused by impact, misuse, or poor installation.
 For disputed cases, items may be submitted to the manufacturer for independent testing and reporting.

In summary:

  • Inspect goods on delivery and report issues within 2 days.
  • Always soft test LCDs before permanent fitting.
  • Warranty only covers manufacturing defects identified at pre-test.
  • We are not liable for accidental damage, misuse, or installation errors.
  • Refunds and returns are subject to inspection and original condition.

How to Return Items to StarPhoneParts.com

Step 1: Create a Return (RMA) Account
 You need an RMA account to return items.
 Click here to create one (use the same name and email you used on StarPhoneParts.com).

The RMA account lets you:

  • Track and manage your returns.
  • Access your past return history.

Once registered, follow the guide to receive your RMA / Complaint Number.

Step 2: Prepare and Send Your Return

  • Pack your items securely.
  • Use a tracked and insured courier service (you’re responsible for the items until they arrive).
  • Clearly mark the CUSTOMER NAME & RMA NUMBER on the return box.

Step 3: Update Your RMA Account
 After sending, log in to your RMA account.
 Add your tracking number and courier website link.

Step 4: Inspection & Resolution
 Once we receive your return, it will take up to 10 working days for inspection under our Return Policy.
 The outcome (approved/rejected) will appear in your RMA account.

Important Notes

  • If items are approved for replacement, we cover the shipping costs.
  • If you want replacements sent before the inspection is complete, you may place a new order, and we will refund for the faulty item and postage after inspection according to the Return Policy.
  • Any rejected items will be returned with your next order, or you may pay for the postage cost to receive them back.

How the process works

a) The items must be sent with a secure, protected and guaranteed mail service. The items you return are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse.

 

b) After you had sent the items, please update us (info@starphoneparts.com) with the tracking number with the website link for the courier you had used, so we have better control over the returns.

 

c) As soon as the items had been received, we will inspect and try to get back within 24 hours but in some cases, it will take up to 10 working days for them to be inspected according to our Return Policy.

 

d)You will be updated with the outcome.
